I'm familiar with these new C series cast aluminum wheels. I've been looking at them for use with 28" Outlaw tires on a new (Kawi P650 or Grizz 660). As I know right now, they only make them in 12x7 sizes for the utility machines. They are made so you can get them to work well with the big rubber. HiLifter is the only one I know of who can get them right now. I don't believe they are made for sport machiens. Cast wheels are not the strongest anyway, that's why they are only $70 ea. For my use, they are ok, but they won't take a real hammering. They sure do look nice, like a real mag-type wheel.
With wheels it all depends on what you are going to use them for. I personally think that ITP makes "better looking" standard wheels than Douglas these days. They have a higher mirror finish. If you ride in rocky terrain, you will need something will a rolled edge or welded ring or you will have your wheels all bent up in a month. The Douglas Billet wheels work well in this respect and are actually a bargain when compared to the cost of wheels with racing rings. For all out use, the racing rings are the best bet for abuse.
Don't waste your time with beadlocks. The only time you need them is if you are having a genuine problem of the tire constantly coming off the rim. Even most of the desert racers quit using them. If you jump a lot then you might need them.
