probably because of mud/water, who wants to have to shift when going through that?

I would, I love shifting a quad, I always had transmission shifting quads and then I bought a Sportsman and soon after gave it to my wife. I didn't like the belt driven auto one bit. I now have a Rubicon and it's probably the best of both worlds but if I could but a 700cc Sport Utility with a good old transmission I would!

In most situations you have an advantage with the automatic because you don't lose momentum when shifting.

dude, I hear ya! It's too bad that 4x4's have been marketed more towards novices and casual users instead of performance enthusiasts. I'd love to see Bombardier marry the concept of the Scramblers with the DS. Can you imagine what a romp'n stomp'n, go anywhere rocket that would be?

i wouldn't want a manual clutch on one. it would suck to stall in while in deep water past the exaust

i almost have to try a manual 4 stroke it would just be a bad idea to make a 2 stroke 4wd because as soon as u let off your screwed in deep water if you guy's want a manual clutch monster why not take on a wolverine as a project 4 stroke tech does a manual clutch mod for 85 bucks and you can get engine kits from anywhere plus many shock companies make shocks for it not that the stocker's wouldn't keep you happy for awhile atlest and it's already built for sport rideing
