Well I made the decision. Thanx for all your input it was a great help. I've ordered the Bi/Tri Claws combo. 27x9.75x12 (front) and 27x12x12 (back). They will take a full week to get here. I'm dreamin' about them already. Hello, and congrats on the tire choice...I just bought a 2002 500i auto, and I am considering getting a snowplow setup for it...I see that you have a 60" plow, with the auto trans...How do you like it? Is it all that you thought it would be, with the auto trans? I am looking at various plows (48", 54", 60", also the 'highway' plow) and I was wondering how the different widths would perform, from a perspective of (AC 500) power VS blade width...I love my 500i auto, and even though it seems that the majority of rider SEEM to prefer the manual trans, I am still glad that I got the auto (It's my first ATV)...I am also considering various manufacturers for my plow choice (AC, Warn, etc) and I will use the Warn 2500# winch with my plow (I got it with the ATV, it seems like a natural choice)...Also, are tire chains a good idea?...Any info you have is greatly appreciated...Sincerely, MR :-)

delta: The 60' plow is no problem for the 500. I push lots and lots of snow. So much that it just comes over the plow itself and have to go back and push the extra over again. The Auto handles it very well and does more than I thought it wuld. I have the Cycle Country plow and it works great! I don't know anything about the other brands but this was cheaper than the cat plow and the mounting hardward was a lot cheaper. My dealer gave me a deal on it tooo. I don't use chains but would always be worried about chains 'slapping' against the plastic fenders and such. In the cold the plastic gets brittle so be careful about 'rubbing' against anything. If you are worried about traction in the snow maybe some extra weight would help.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply....I have a paved driveway that has a pretty good hill and I think I need chains to get back up-even with 4WD...I feel that if you keep the chains reasonably tight, and given the clearance of the fenders, there wouldnt be any damaging rubbing (hopefully)...I am definitely getting a plow (goodbye snowblower), just wanted some input from an experienced user...I had a feeling that AC 500 power could push any plow...I just hope the chains dont screw up the tires... The 500 will do a great job pushing snow. I have a Moose plow that I like. I know Cycle Country also makes a good plow. I haven't used chains plowing, haven't needed them, but don't plow anything very steep. I would think chains would make the AC almost unstoppable Adding weight to the racks, especially the rear, helps alot when plowing. Also, the auto is great for plowing snow. I have some plowing photos in the link below.

hey there,
you said you're looking to bye a plow. i have a 400 cat and i run a
60" moose plow and i have no problems pushing it. i wasn't sure last year so i bought chains for it. i haven't had any problems with the chains either. i really didn't need them. you will definately want the wider plow and i have also found that the moose plow is a much better built plow. my dad has a 60" cycle country on his 350 big bear and it's ok but if you compare the two of them you can tell that the moose is built alot better. even he thought so. and i even think that the moose may be a little cheaper price wise also.
good luck!!!!!
