Almost got this thing right...I am runnin 175/180 DJ jets and a few of you said that was way too much. It runs strong on the top end and doesn't cut out or load up. I rode with a stock Warrior so I didn't have anything to compare too. I don't think its too rich but didn't get a good plug reading. Now my problem comes in at 1/4 to 3/4 throttle I think. It seems to load up and wanna stall. Kind of like bogging down. Is that my pilots too lean or should I move the needle up? I am at position 4 now. My air screws are at 3 1/4 and 3 1/2. Should I change the pilots to 25 or 27.5 and they would effect my air screws right?

Thanks again for all the help!

Why am I bothering with the Dynojet kit at all? They themselves don't support open airbox runnin. Should I return everything to stock and run 160/165 Mikuni jets? Would I lose that snappy throttle response?

Up or down. Is that a lean or rich condition. Sorry for my ignorance.

Carburetor Jetting Troubleshooting

Carburetor troubleshooting is simple once the basic principles are known. The first step
is to find where the engine is running poorly, . It must be remembered that
carburetor jetting is determined by the throttle position, not engine speed. If the
engine is having troubles at low rpm (idle to 1/4 throttle), the pilot system or slide( air /fuel screw)
valve is the likely problem. If the engine has problems between 1/4 and 3/4 throttle, the
jet needle and needle jet (most likely the jet needle) is likely the problem. If the engine
is running poorly at 3/4 to full throttle, the main jet is the likely problem.

YOU ARE INTO FINE TUNE PART OF JETING WHICH WILL TAKE 80% OF YOUR TIME
YOU JUST NEED TO FIND THE BALANCE BETWEED MAIN JET SIZE AND NEEDLE POSITION
BEST GUESS: THINK YOU ARE FAT (RUNING RICH ) YOU USED DYNOJET JETS
THIS IS WHAT I WOULD DO TEST THE JET SIZE AND NEEDLE POS.
LEAVE THE NEEDLE WHERE IT IS
DROP DOWN ONE SIZE ON JETTING 173/178 <DJ JETS_ ( LESS FUEL)
BEST GUESS ON DYNO JETS SIZE
IF CANT GET DYNOJET JETS USE MIKUNI (162.5/167.5)
SEE IF THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY OR BECOME DIFFRENT
TRY TO READ THE PLUG
OTHER OPTION
LEAVE JETS IN THAT YOU HVE 175/180 CHANGE THE NEEDLE POS TO
NUMBER #3(LEANER LESS FUEL)
SEE WHAT HAPPENS
NEED TO GET A PLUG READING
NOTE AFTER THESE CHANGES THE PROBLEM SHOULD BE DIFFERENT
IN A DIFFRENT THROTTLE POSITION
