A stock 300ex will easily beat a stock blaster in drag race. To bad it cant beat my warrior when ive got 6th gear pinned and im flying by.

Actually a bone stock Blaster and a bone stock 300EX are too close to call in a drag. When my Blaster was stock I beat every 300EX that I raced but only by a few feet.

Last Saturday I raced my friend on his 2000 Blaster. I have a 2000 300EX. We raced down (dare I say) a public road. We started at the same time. I just blew him out of the water. He also weighs atleast 20 lbs less than me. Both of them are stock and less than a month old. Hope this helped.

I've always said its mostly rider, but yes a good machine does help. A blaster and 300EX are almost identical speed, the blaser can be faster off the line, but the 300 is a hare faster top-end, so they are very close. As far as racing, the 300 handles much better giving it the edge.

Also for those of you who like to drag, anybody can do that. As far as beating Warriors and other 300EX's in motocross, or TT, thats easy when considering I've never placed under 4th against race ready 250R's and Banshee's with a stock 250X, and 300EX in TT style racing (where they should have the clear advantage). Think thats due to power, NO, thats all rider. Now I fianally have a 330R, making me even machine wise. Well, I have yet to be beat oughtright.

So RangerSX, going along with what I said about the rider, somebody may be good enough on a Warrior to win races, so you don't have to call somebody an idiot if they like their Warrior, besides you said stocker has beaten a Warrior, has he beaton every Warrior out their? Until their is one machine made that can make any rider beat any other quad made (never will happen, the only one to even come close would be a 250R), then you don't have to talk that way to other people with an oppinion. Also, until you ride that 300EX to the point where you break the stock shocks, new swing-arms only lasts a few rides, and totally destroy the frame (with aftermarket suspension), then you may have some right to talk. Hey, I see your from Iowa, come out to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and play with us at Hawkeye Downs some Saturday night with a 300EX. But theirs no way against 250R's you say, well there are 40-50 quads at the race so there are Warriors, Blasters, 400EX's, Phillips Ratax 250's, Banshees, and even 300EX's to compete against. Heck I used to beat the big 2-strokes, and built 4-strokes, with my stock 300EX, so why stop at a little Warrior, why not shoot for something big like beating me in a race, then you may say what you like!

I hope my point was made, I just get tired of people who talk alot or put others down. I raced somebody like that, and everybody at the track hated him. He also had daddy spend over $6,000 on all Lonestar Chassis, new motor, and suspension so he could beat me (I'm on a stock frame, and he never once came close to beating me, as did no one else for that matter). You know what his excuse was when I still beat him by half a lap, "If my suspension was working better I would have had you". Thats just funny when its my first year motocross racing (He's been racing 4 years), and I don't even get tired because I ride so slow due to not being pushed, and I still win by half a lap. Its even funnier considering he practiced all season on a track, and I never once rode a motocross track, it was also my first year on a 2-stroke. Next season will be more fun because I will be racing people like Mark Burns (4X National Champion), in the Pro Class, I will finally get pushed to ride hard, and if I get beat its because I am not yet as good a rider as them (also have much less experience), not due to the machine.

ill gladly reply to your question.... Yes the blaster is faster than the 300. not just saying that because im a die-hard Yamaha freak. I graduated the 200cc aircooled class two years ago now i race in the "a-class" with my 250r. i still have my blaster and i love it, i just cant seem to keep my girlfrind off of it.. NOW BACK TO YOUR QUESTION.... there were several races i attened that did not have enough blasters nor 4-strokers to complete a class so they ran them together.. THE OUTCOME; the blasters were usually ahead...i beat every 4-stroker except for one race when i lost my tire off my wheel... i ended up first in my class in points my last season.... i hope that helped your ???
