87 230 Quadsport
#1
I just bought my sisters 87 230 Quadsport ATV. I am new to owning ATV's, and I have a ffew questions to ask you all. They (my sis and her husband) never take care of things and there are a few things I want to know what they are.
1st:
On the left side just above the clutch lever there is a button on top. What does it go to? My friend said it was the emergency brake, but there is nothing to hold it in place.
2nd:
Where can I go to get parts for it? I have have tried surfing the net for parts for it and no luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks for everyone's help.

you can't find parts on the net??? Try Ebay.
also, on my old LT perch, the parking brake was on the clutch lever. I think your friend meant parking brake, emergency brakes on a sport quad would be weird... I've never heard of one on any ATV...

You can try looking in the back of a Dirt Wheels catalog for Quadsport parts. Anyone that carries Suzuki parts will have them. Also try to find a Suzuki dealer near you. Lastly, while the number of aftermarkert parts isn't as high as that of 250r's and Banshees, you will find a good number for the quadsport. I'm quite experienced in buying parts for my bike as I've rebuilt the motor, redone the rear end, and replaced the plastic, so finding parts is not a problem.

Best place to find parts for it along with detailed drawings is
http://www.bikebandit.com/PartsBandit/
I ordered from there and am very satisfied.
