Does Anyone Have 28" Tires on a Grizzly?
#1
I am going to put new tires on my Grizzly (like many do).
Is there anyone out there who has actually put 28" tires on their Grizzly?
I have heard that it can be done with no mod's by some. Others say that it will cause some clearance problems.
Has anyone actually tried it?

Hey Rat,,
I have a friend who has a 02 660 grizzly and we put 28's on it. We had to cut the rear fenders by the floor boards. We also had to put wheel spacers on the front to clear the a-arms in the inside of the tire when you turned. This is with stock rims. With his ITP rims you don't have to put on the spacers, but you do still need to cut your fenders.

Thanks for the response.
Did your friend preload his shocks all the way out, or leave them at the 'normal' setting?
I have been told that if you preload the shocks, you only get occaisional rubbing.
From the symptoms you describe, it would seem that the preloading would not make a difference.
Thanks again.

We put a Lift kit on it and it made the front tires toe in really bad when you ran it full throttal in mud or icey condition. Yes we did preload the shocks {all}. my buddy is a big boy around 280. But we took the lift off and it still clears.
