The Polaris is Gone (Tear Jerker)....
#1
Well guys, I sold the Sport about an hour ago. Took $2100 for her (stock parts included).
I was asking $2200, but I think that the Kid that bought it is going to treat it good so I let it go a little cheaper. He is probably about 14 or 15 years old, and his father also tried it out. It's good to know that after the hard work I put into it, it is going to a good home. It's strange that I feel that way especially when I look at the other guys on this forum, and how much blood, sweat, and tears they put in their quads.
It's unfortunate that I was forced to sell it...My girlfriend and I are building a house this summer and every little bit counts.
Despite what many people say about Polaris, I have to say that I had no problems with mine, and it was a great quad.
I didn't expect to have it go today. I kinda wanted to go for one last ride on it, but he cut me a check on the spot (I brought it to his house to meet him there because it is only a few miles from where I work).
Oh well....had a lot of good times on it, and I will miss it.
Just wanted to write and say thanks to everybody who helped me with it. Quadfather, Mike Chero, Xplor, Modquad, and of course Rick Ritter.....and probably a few dozen other guys.
Take care.

PS> Oh by the way, the "Tear Jerker" part was just a joke. I'm not quite that obsessed.

All that is left to complete your 'healing' is to remove it from your signature. Remember, it is good to 'let go' it will help you get over it quicker. Let the tears flow, it is part of the healing process...
OK, now that I got the sarcasm out of the way, glad to hear you got near asking for it. When I sold my dirt bike (still miss it) I don't think I would have let it go, except that I knew it went to a good home, not to some spoiled brat that would rod the snot out of it, wreck it, then have 'daddy' buy him another.
Selling stuff sure is a different experience every time. Sometimes what you feel you have to practically give something away when you are selling, and have to pay way more than you should have to when you are buying. Unless you are me, of course, then it seems like all the time.
Good luck with your house. As a married man, the only advice I can give you is don't get too attatched to the way anything looks, because the little lady will want to change everything but the foundation so it looks the way she wants it to. If you don't have that problem, and she is a good cook, don't EVER let her go! (Unless she insists on having her mother move in with you).

I hear ya Josh... I will be selling my Scrambler within the next couple months and even if I do enjoy the Craptor much more it will seem strange not being the "popo guy" anymore... hehehe
A few good things came from it though: Got to beat a piped Shee and a YZ400 in a drag race last summer (the look on their faces), learned a ton about two-strokes, spent a ton of money (maybe not so good) and especially--> got to be in an ATV magazine! It is called Le Monde du VTT and is going to be available on April 12th up here in Quebec... I will try to scan it and post the link. They called it the "Atomic Scrambler"!
Now get on that Shee and RIDE!!!

We, we...ooops that's the outhouse. I mean oui, oui....or is that the magazine? 15 mins...heck, mine wasn't even 15 sec. hehe Still waiting for that Britney Spears personal phonecall. If she thinks it's dangerous getting Bob Dole's dog aroused in a Pepsi commercial....ooops back to the family show. Can't wait to see the picks. Congrats again!
