SP500 Engine Removal

I need to remove the motor from my '96 SP500. I have the manual to go by, but I was hoping someone would have a few tips, pointers, etc...
I am going to rebuild the bottom of my motor (cam bearings). I installed the HO carb and cam about a year and a half ago, and now it's making a racket in the bottom. Is there a better cam than the 2000 Scrambler cam that I have? One with more oiling ports?
