Hey there. I was reading the Rally 200 Test in my DW april issue, and I Really like it. Im looking for a Low Cost atv that i can buy myself so that i dont beat up my dads bayou anymore. I want something that has some speed and can take jumps, so i was leaning for a 250 recon, but in DW it says the rally can eat a recon. Im almost 18 (6 foot 175lbs), im kinda thinking a 200 is small but it has 18hp which is more than my bayou and can eat a recon, im really considering it. Do you think they will come out with pipes and Power kits for the rally cause i would really like that. Any input (about the rally, no flaming) is GREATLY Apprechated (spelling)

Thanks Alot.....

I think that is the wrong move. If you want to hop something up get a sport quad. If you need a sporty utility get wolverine with racks. A 200 will leave you dissappointed with the power. Once you get your own quad then you will see how fast you Change your opinion about a entry level ride.

I would say it depends on the type of riding you intend to do and who you will be riding with. I ride what is considered an entry level machine. I am an experienced rider with many atv years and different machines under my belt. Money was an issue but I also wanted something that was going to be fun. I ride with a mix of different machines and different level of riders. You can have a ball on a so called entry level machine. Compared to the Bayou the Rally will feel like a sport machine (as would the Recon for that matter). I am considering getting one for a second machine, for my wife or visitors. They raced it against an '01 Recon so it wasn't the faster engine used in the 250EX or the '02 Recon. I figure it will be real close to my EX in speed and be very stable and easy to ride.

Hey, well it seems to be mixed opions, after the first reply i was kinda turned off, but the second post made me re-think.... see i ride around town, on dirt roads, on beaches, mountian trails, woodstrails and some mud but i can always use the bayou for mudd. Im looking for something cheap and sportier, cause i love to ride the bayou like a sport quad but the supension for jumps just isnt there... thanks for your imput, keep it coming.

I just traded my poloris 325 2000 model for a rally 200 and it blows my old bike out of the water i had some one follow me down the road to see how fast it was and it was right around 50 mph it does jumps very well i like the suspension and it reaches top speed in a hurry over all i would recomend this for any one who likes to ride a cheep afordable quad becaus it is a real good ride. and it should be able to keep up with many bigger rides.

I have been wanting to talk to someone that actually owned a Rally. I used to have a 325 Trail Boss as well. Does it ride as well as the TB? I figure the steering has to be a lot lighter than the Boss. Does it feel pretty stable? Have you had it on any hills yet? Can you wheelie at all or does it feel stuck to the ground like the TB? Thanks for this or any other info!

I read something about the rally and it really caught my interest I am looking for a mid size bike for a 13 year old who has outgrown a yamaha champ 100. I did not know they were out yet so could anyone tell me how they really like it performance, Quality construction etc.
As far as the original post I think that at your current size and age you might be ready for a larger quad, I know they are more expensive but they will keep you happy longer because selling a used low price bike will not net a lot of money for the next upgrade and will evetually be more out of pocket expense than a quad that will fit you longer. Just mt opinion,do what feels good to you.
Oh yeah, what is the average price OTD on a Rally.

My brother-in-law bought a rally about 2 weeks ago. He bought id for my niece who is 8 yrs old but has been riding for 3 yrs. We took it on a big run last Saturday and it impressed the heck out of me. The rally went every place the big boys went without a problem!!! We were in mud and water up to the racks and the rally never missed a beat. We even went hill climbing and it climbed up the hills without and problems what so ever!!! Is this thing really only a 176cc quad???????!!!!!

There are a few things you should know. The stock tires must be the WORST I have ever seen put on a quad, but that's very easy to fix. Most importantly the rear vent hose for the belt and clutch area is BIG and OPEN!!! It lets the water and mud into the belt and causes it to squeal and slip. The again is easily fixed. My brother-in-law bought a one way plumbing valve at the local hardware store and put in the hose and clamped it in place. Now the air can get out but the water and mud can't get in. The cost to fix this...$13 Canadian!!! Just make sure to locktite the rubber gasket so it doesn't vibrate out. Another thing he noticed is that the front shocks like to over extend and clunk when doing jumps or going over rough terrain. Over all we were VERY impressed with the Rally and is planning on trading his 220 Bayou in on a second Rally.

Only you can decide if the Rally is right for you. I have to say again that I was VERY VERY impressed with the Rally. I'd like to hear from some more owners myself about it. Good luck and happy trails.
