well, i got it back today.12.5 to 1 J&E piston,webb cams,
37.0int. valves, 32.0exh. valves, titanium valve springs, and ported cylinder head. It will fly. The only thing is i have that junk RW carb on it and if you try to play with the throtle to much, it misses out like crazy, I have the accelerator pump on
it, Its ether at an idle or wide open. So i thinking of geting rid of it and go to something else. anyone have any idies. Going to a drag race this weekend, hope it does good!!

Hall, sounds like you have a very similar setup to mine, I choose to go with the Dual 39mm instead of the 45mm, I had to adjust the accelerator pump just a bit to get it to rev smoother, but I am very pleased with how it's running so far- definately more power and even at idle the growl is deeper because there so much more air flowing thru the motor. The carbs aren't cheap but then again nothing is for the DS.
Just something for you to chew on.

have you tried a smaller accelerator pump nozzle? Adjust the pump start & stop positions?

the carb is tricky to tune and maintain tuned, but makes some power when/if dialed in.
