Hey Guys,

I friend of mine just bought a new Grizz 660 (I haven't even got to see it yet, but he loves it).

Anyway, I was just wondering what should be done to it to make it perform at it's best or even things to prevent future problems.

I have heard a few grizz owners talking about bypassing different safety features and stuff like that and I was just wondering if there is anything he should do to his.

Thanks for your input.

IMHO: I wouldnt do anything to it... Tell him to ride it and if there is something that he feels needs improved, "then" change it.

If you are talking about the bypass for the rev limiter and such...look at silverbear's wesite. But honestly, it depends on his riding style and what he expects out of his machine. So far, i havent needed to change anything on our bikes BUT i am thinking of putting bigger tires on. Still not really convienced about that either. I have been riding in pretty deep sand/SNOW (lots of it) and the stockers are doing just fine. I will see this coming weekend if the tires are really an issue.

IF MIKE AND MACK AND JOE will go!!!!! hehehe, can ya tell that i really really wanna go riding this weekend!

I will be taking my dig camera with me, so hopefully we can get some good pics of how these bikes do in the snow and melt. "praying to the sun god that he melts the snow at least another 18 inches".

Piranha,

First and only thing I would do to a new Griz is replace the stock POS tires. I put maxxis ALL-TRAKs on mine and get much better traction. Other than that I would leave it stock.

I agree, I would leave it stock to see what he needs. The type of rides He takes will determine what he needs to change. But tires are the First things I cahnged.
