Has anyone rode the overton/logandale atv trails. I just heard about them, and not real sure how to get there. they are supposedly on the backside of the Valley of Fire SP. Are they worth a day trip or are they more for a 4X4 Utility quad? Rock crawling and such.

Dude, I've ridden in two different spots up there. On is by the resevoir, which is to the left of the road as you head into town. (before the state fairgrouds)

The other spot is just past the fairgrounds to the right of the road. It is back behind the closest mountains. There is SAND back there. This is one of the tour areas.

I like the riding better in the sand area but there is more to do by the resevoir. (watercrafts are allowed).

Hope this helps. Al

We may be going to the resevoir the weekend of May 4th.

Thanks Al. I guess Clark co. has a Atv trail area with maps and everything. I am gonna check into that at the county building next week. I just was wondered if it was more utility/4X4 stuff, but if there is SAND it will be worth the trip to check it out.

Midlfinger, little late on this reply but there is NOT a ton of sand like Dumont but it is fun. You will NOT need paddles.

I'll drop you an e-mail once I get my engine back together, maybe we can meet out at Nellis. Maybe Knutz will come too.

Just keep in mind as you ride araound up there, the rental place lets folk that have never riden quads befor, loose to ride the same trails. I met one head on as he was stopped in the middle of a blind turn, in the middle of the trail. It's a great place to ride, but watch for trafic.

I'm game to go riding, if I ever get the time to do it again.
