Do a search. There was a post on here last week, I don't know who by, but he said it just made the 500 rip snortin' angry. Said it just pulled like crazy I'm getting mine in a few days, after I finish the dieting parts!!

you will love the added boost its great but theres pros and cons to everything.
more power more gas more air more prone to burps in climate and altitude changes
a little more volume do to the extra air being sucked through the motor
time down because polaris made nothing on top of the motor accesible without taking everything off but.......after all that im still glad I did it ( just wish I could find tires that would hook up now) and oh yeah make sure you have the hpd pipe the air mod doesnt work well with others.

hey good choice but if dont already have a k&n filter get one if you do get an outerwear because you will have a larger opening for water and mud to enter.

I just dropped my 02 Scrambler 500 4x4 off at the dealship to have a DG pipe put on it. They put one on another 500 4x4 and let me test drive it. There was no noise difference when just putting around slow. When you press the throttle a little, however, it is somewhat louder but talk about a power gain! A friend of mine was waiting for a HPD setup with clutch kit and k&n filter for his 1999 500 4x4. He was going to let me try his and decide if I wanted the same mods. After two weeks, he was sick of waiting. The dealer told him he had a new DG pipe which just needs bolted on. No jetting is required and he discouraged the clutch kit as he said it needs to rev higher with the clutch kit. Going slow over rough terrrain would be too jerky. The price is only $285 for the pipe. He said they are rethinking the mods for the Scrambler and that this new pipe fits the best of any he ever tried. (It used to be HPD or nothing for Scramblers.) We are going riding this Saturday. The other guy had him take 4 plates out of the 12 to quiet it down a little. This may have robbed him of some power. I am leaving all twelve in since I did not think it was that loud. We will be able to tell the difference between 8 plates, 12 plates, and stock. I will posts the results.

I would suggest you try putting on a set of Gator tires by GBC. They hook up great, are reasonably priced, and come in the stock sizes. Treadepot.com has them for sure but other places are also getting them in the smaller sizes.
