I had the idea a while back and after seeing that new KTM 520 project quad, I'm even more intersted. So where would be a good place to find a used one?? I'm sure a new one from KTM would be EXPENSIVE!!

Assuming I got the engine, then what?? I'd need a counterbalancer right? the head would have to be modified to carry the xtra weight right? new gearing in the tranny important?This would be going in a 250R chassis.

What else do I need to consider? what cost am i looking at minus the cost of buying the engine? will the honda radiator work or not?

If it's do-able, I'll start looking for orange plastics!!

 

If i was goimg to take on a project like this i would call bobs used cycle supplies [602-243-4241]he has like the biggest used cycle parts in the country 10 acers of bikes wall to wall. im like a kid in a candy shop when i go there!
