Does anyone know if the durablue elimanator is as good as they claim it is??? I have a durablue heavy duty right know and it is supposed to be 2.5 times stronger than stock and I already have a slight bend in it and it is only 8 months old. I do take some jumps but nothing too high. Does anyone know if the dominator heavy duty is stronger than the durablue heavy duty??? Thanks

Durablues are good axles, and yes they do make a stronger one.
Durablues are very good compared to stock and much stronger, I have bent and replaced 3 stock axles before buying a durablue Eliminator Axle
Eliminator is the worlds #1 axle. It features a proprietary heat treating process that provides excellent wear and strength characteristics. It is then polished and chrome plated, giving you a product that is superior in strength as well as good looks.

Many of the models come with the patented Posi•Lock system which removes threaded sections from the flexing area of the shaft (a source of crack generation).

I have had NO problems with my axle,, used for heavy MX and TT racing with no problems.

Well don't let that guy fool ya! Ask anyone that ever went to a national MX race at Red Bud in Michigan,it's commonly known that if a 4 stroke isn't running you can hear the durablue's snap. I've been watching the durablue runners walk up the hill w/1 tire in their hand since 1996.
LSR and RPM are the best. Bent 3 stock axels before buying a good one, that ought to tell ya something dude!

Hey LT80,
How many Durablues have you ever broke?? anyhow I stated I broke 3 STOCK axles (SUZUKI)not durablues.
I replaced them with a Eliminator durablue and have had ZERO problems. Maybe I got a good one!!
Besides,,, I have been to the last two California 4 stroke Nationals and have yet to see ANYONE walking away with axle in hand. Not to say there were no bent ones but as I recall it was an LSR beening replaced between moto's!!!

I bent the stocker on my R 3 months after I got it. I have been running a Durablue Eliminator for 3 years now without any problems. No it might not be the "best" axel out there but I am no where near the "best" rider either. My only advice is not to waste your money on the antifade hub. It still comes loose just the stockers. Good luck!!

I bought a durablue for my Mojave because they were the only ones who made one for it. I have had no problems what so ever, But RPM is the best.

I have broken 3 Durablue axles right where the retaining clip slides on. After the second break (didn't even get a quarter lap during practice), I contacted someone at Durablue and asked what the problem was. He stated that their heat treating process was making the axles too hard so they wouldn't bend. He went on to say that during the 3 wheeler days, no one was really jumping and racers would complain about bending their axles, so they stepped up their process to make the axles super tough. He told me he would send me an axle (with the older heat treating process) out next day air, which was great, and he sent a call tag for the other. He claimed this axle would have more "flex" and it shouldn't break but it may indeed bend. Guess what? The very next race, I overshot a very small double and landed smoothly, but the axle snapped. I didn't even bother calling Durablue back. Switched to RPM Dominator and have never had a problem. Now, I will say this also. If you break a Durablue, they are going to send you a new one, no questions asked and they probably have it in stock. I was talking axles to a guy once and he said,"Better hope you don't need your Dominator replaced under warranty. They took a couple of months to process mine."
