Recently purchased 02 Trailboss 325 and had some questions that I was hoping some people with past experience could answer a few questions.

First of all the manual that came w/ the unit doesn't seem very good. More of a catch-all for every model they sell. I ordered a service manual for it and I'm hoping that helps answer some of my questions as well.

Has anyone tried to remove the plastic from the 02's? It looks like where the side fender and gas tank parts meet something isn't right. I can see a tab w/ a small hole that and the plastic shifted. My question is: Is this a poor design and something has already cracked like a small tab on the other outer fender that the tab sits underneath? or is a small screw/pin or something missing.

Never had a belt-drive quad before but many sleds so I know the basic concept of the tranny...After riding for a few hours we started to notice a rubbing sound when going at a decent rate of speed and then letting off the throttle around the corners, etc and hitting the throttle again. Is that normal? Seems like it wasn't doing it initally but after riding for 2+ hours it started that...

Any tips/tricks regarding this unit as far as things to look out for or coming at it from the perspective that I'm used to the older style quads w/ out the belt drives and regular trannys?

Thanks in Advance...

I'm guessing you also have a Raptor from your Screen name. One bit of advice, don't go straight from the Raptor to the Trailboss. You will be more bored than you can imagine! Don't expect a lot out of the 325 and you will be satisfied. Just remember your general maintainance...grease zerks, oil chain, change oil, wash after muddy rides.

Congrats on the new 325. We have a Magnum 325. I think you'll like it as a good overall machine.
Those tabs on the plastic aren't screwed in where you are looking. They are a press fit. To take them off you just pull hard and work it free. It won't hurt anything. To put it back you have to mess with it and get it to snap back in place. Looks like your just needs a little adjustment.

As for the rubbing you hear, I have no idea what that might be.

A good idea would be to loose the snorkle and order a K&N for the box. It makes it run so much better.

Thank you both for the feedback...

WIScrambler -- The Raptor is my ride. The TB325 is for my girlfriend who is used to riding a 91 Honda Fourtrax 300 2X4.

BarleyLegal -- I was able to get the plastic side panel off as you described. Doesn't look like anything is broken at this point which is good news.

From what I can tell when I put it back in place the tab closest to the seat just won't stay engaged. As soon as you put the seat back on and put any amount of weight on it the panel pushes right out. I know I'm prb. just being too picky but it must be warped or a little off. Doesn't look like it is going to hurt anything in the long run and I seriously doubt the dealer would do anything anyway but I might run it past them when I take it in for the first service.

I called my dealer to price out the first 15-20 hour service and they want 225.00...What a RIP!!!

I'm happy w/ the TB325 so far. Great ride, seat is very comfortable, handles very good for a 500 pound machine.

Jason

What I like about it is the stability of the machine for the lady. I don't mind getting scuffed up, but would like her not to. She would already have gotten bounced once if it had not been for the weight and balance of that machine. All she ended up with was a deep bruise on her leg and the machine righted itself.

The 10 hour service should be free. All they do there is answer some ?'s. The 15-20 hour service is new to me. All you need to do is change the oil, but that is not even recommended until later. I did my own for like $19. Saved me a trip out to the dealer too.
