I recently purchased a enclosed trailer. It has a flat four wire connector. I also have a small generator. I was wondering if there was a product out there that converets the flat four wire to a regular 120 volt receptacles plug. So I could use my generator to power the trailer when parked. Any help? How do guys do it? I would love to have lights and what not in the trailer when parked at a race, but it sucks the truck battery down real quick.
thanks for the help!

Why not just hard wire it in. Have a receptical mounted to the trailer and just plug the generator in.

The flat four trailer connector is for your running and brake lights correct? If you have interior lights you need to see if they are 120 volt AC or 12 volt DC. Most trailers run everything at 12 volts DC, just like your car battery. So unless your generator has an optional 12 volt dc output it's not going to work. Your best mey may be to get a deep cycle 12 volt battery and run the trailer off it. My deep cycle battery will run my little trailers 3 interior lights and a stereo all weekend. You can always plug a battery charger into your generator to re charge the battery. Anyway I hope this helps.
