Concentric chain vs. Shaft Drive (Trail Boss 325)
#1
I just compared the trail boss 325 to the magnum 325 2x4 and both of them basically of the same specs except minor ones like tire size but one I saw that the trail boss had a concentric chain and the magnum had a shaft drive. Would this be why the magnum is $900 more?

Wow!
<< if you are thinking of geting a magnum, the top speed is only 35 mph. just leting you know so you arnt dissapointed when you get it! >>
I knew that they were slower than the Magnum 500 but I didn't know it was that much slower. Shouldn't it be closer to 45?

Magazines have tested the Magnum 325 and they alway say the same thing
The Magnum 325 is very underpowered for its size and top speed is around 35MPH depending on weight of rider. The main advantage to the Magnum 325 is that you get HI/LOW range in the Transmission.
The consentric Chain drive system polaris has now (Starting in 99my)is very good, Reliability does not concern me.
The Shaft drive has a the majior advantage for deep mudding and Rocky terrain. (NO CHAIN TO TAKE A HIT).
