I know it is RECOMENDED for only people 16+ to use 90cc+ quads but does that mean you’re allowed to buy a quad by yourself when you are 16? If not how old do you have to be, 18?

 

I would think if you have the cash, dealers will sell.

In New York State you can own, ride, register, and insure an ATV at age sixteen. BUT -- you can't enter into a legal binding contract until you're 18. All loans are legal binding contracts. This means that either mommy or daddy have to take out a loan for you and put their name on the quad, or they have to co-sign on a loan in your name. If you're dealing in straight-up cash though, you can buy and register your own ATV, brand new or used, with no problems.

There are woods down the block from me and and I got an upstate house which me and my friend go to ALOT and we ride there all the time
