Anyone have the Hot Seat Handlebars?
#1
I was wondering how they worked versus the stock handlebars and also if anyone knows of some good aftermarket lights that will work on a Scrambler 400. I was wanting to get the Trailtech lights but they are only offered for Yamaha,Honda etc.. etc.. I was wondering if anyone has either of these items. Thanks

I run the Answer Alumilite bars...nothing special, but they work and are inexpensive. Check your local Walmart for lights, they have some "moon-unit" looking ones. Also if you have a local Fleet Farm, Farm and Fleet, or something like that, they normally have some various lights. Dennis Kirk sells a pretty powerful set (just put some on)for around $39.
Back to the subject of Walmart, I repeatedly GPS'd my Panoram unit from them (ordered the $14.99 mount kit from Trail Tech for Polaris) and found it was consistantly only .5 mph off. Gotta like that!!

I run MSR Dominator (cr mid bend)bars .They are lower and do give you a better feel. They also make your arms last longer.I went to Wal-mart and bought the set of small fog lights and mounted the on each side of my bumper. The wiring hooked up to my factory Switch, they work great.Entire job, bars and all cost approx.$50. Hope this helps....J. Prentice

I have the hotseat bars they are lower and stock and feel sportier than stock like someone else has all ready said. But i was in an accident on my 500 scrambler and it rolled down a hill and landed right on the handle bars and it bent my steering column broke my brake fluid container off and broke my head lights but it did even hurt the bars at all. So i think that they are fairley strong.

Well I went ahead and ordered the Hot Seat handlebars and a set of Trailtech halogen lights. They say to combine a flood with a spot light. I met a guy when I went to glamis that had these Trailtech lights on his DS 650 and the difference between his stock lights and the Trailtech were unbelieveable and they were only 35 watt bulbs. I'll do another post on the lights and handlebars.

i have the moose halogen light kit, i wired it to my stock wireing, and it will mount onto the existing light cage, if you take the old ones out, some splicing is required this way, or you can use the switch that comes with it, and use all the wiring that comes with it to wire it to the battery, it is an excellant lighting system, shines far and will light up a whole street
