I've decided to move up to a 700, has anyone in the northeast purchased one lately???? where was the best deal??? I'm from CT and don't mind driving two hours to save some $$$$$. Also, what kind of beating would I take if I traded my 500 at a dealer instead of selling it on my own???? My 500 has 340 miles on it. thanks for the help.

Hey Reiner-

Fast Forward Sports in Cobleskill, NY about 2 hours from you has a Spruce one and a Black one. I bought my Spruce one here and paid $6950

Valley Recreation in Milford, NY (2 and a half hours)told me if I paid more than $6895 I paid too much.

A buddy of mine bought a black one from the dealer in Trout Creek, NY (about 3 hours)and paid $6900 and it came with hand guards and hand warmers. They have 2 yellow ones on the floor now.

Hope this helps. Where do you ride near Torrington. My parents live in Watertown and it would give me a reason to visit more often if I had a place to ride.

traded my 2001 500HO with 2000# warn, front and rear bumpers machine had 2800 miles on it but was clean. got 4500 for my trade and paid 6999 for the 700 twin. that was the best deal in Syracuse area. all the local dealers were sold out for a week and a half.

Hey Spruce, thanks for the info, I assume you mean $6950 b-4 any tax or accessories. Over the phone the best so far is $8316 out the door with a 2500# Warn Winch, based on your info I should be about $7900 out the door. I have about 100 acres behind my house I ride in, but I mostly go with friends to Otis and Pittsfield MA, email me if you want to go.

Yeah $6950 was before tax. I added front and back tube bunbers for $75 a piece myself afterward.

reiner,
i've always been able to sell my old machine in my front yard for a pretty good price. for kicks, the last ATV i bought i asked my dealer how much for a trade-in and i was surprised! not only did i trade it, but i also benefitted by the sales tax credit (tax being figured on the TRADE DIFFERENCE). figuring in the difference in sales tax credit with the trade allowance it came w/i $100 from what i've been selling them for in the front yard!

see-ya,
-MT
