I also posted this in the Yamaha forum, but thought their may be interest here as well...Sorry

Anybody in the New England & NY area looking for an MX/SX track to ride on?

A person that I know just built a big one in Swanton, Vermont. It's located in the North Western Part of the State, almost at the Canadian border. He opened it up to the public last weekend. I had been on it a month or so ago and it was a blast.

Currently it is only opened to Dirt Bikes, but he may open it to ATV's if there is enough interest. If you have a Dirt Bike, or if you are an ATV rider interested in going on the track post back here and I can give you the other information.

I just told him that I would spread the word and see if I could get any responses. I know that there aren't many people from this area on this board, so I don't expect a lot of response.

Anyway, a couple more details...The track is a MX/SX style track...Lot's of variety. In it's current state it is a bit Extreme for most recreational ATV riders (at least guys like me), but you can deffinatly have fun on it just the same. The track isn't like you would see in somebody's back yard, it's proffesionally designed and built, and it actually looks better than any track I have seen around here (yes, even the ones that hold sanctioned races).

As for fees, yes, there are fees. He is only charging so he can pay for the cost of insurance (which is $4000 per year). If it is your first time on the track he is flexible on the price, however he would like to charge $10 per day for all returning riders. The track is open Saturday and Sunday's from 1pm-8pm. Group rates are available and also "Season's Passes" are available. This would also allow you to ride on the Weekdays.

If you are in this area I urge you to come check the track out...When I heard about it I figured that it would just be a piddly little track, but I was suprised when I got there...I had never seen anything like it in person.

Well, I guess that's about it, if you have any questions please post them here.

Take care.

-Josh
