Need a picture of the rear axle and carrier. The person I got it from has parts that don't look like the O.E.M. parts. I put the new bearing and seals in the carrier and put it back together and there is to much play. I can't belive that there are no stops except the rings on the axle. Hope someone can send a picture of the assemble of it.Also the chain ajuster don't look like the one in the owners manual.

check out servicehonda.com they have a breakdown of all the parts. Maybe it's an aftermarket carrier?

Sharp looking 300ex. I tried the service honda site but couldn't find any break down off parts. Thanks anyway.

Thanks for Info. Someone must of changed the carrier. I can't match it with any thing. I'm taking it up to the dealer and see if he can match it up. By the looks of it it might be out of a 250R. Thanks again for the help.

Tom, it can't be out of a R. The R's carrier is longer than a X. 85 250R has a smaller diameter than a 86 and newer. I think the 86 has the same diameter as the 250X though. I can fax the shop manual page if you still need it.

Got back from the dealer. The carrier is a dura blue and the stock bearings that I already installed are 3/8 of a inch smaller width wize. I don't know if I should make a 3/8 spacer or spend another 90 bucks? But that explains all the slop I had. Thanks for the help.I'll keep you posted.
