Ok, I'm going to try to do this without upseting the moderators.

Ok, I took the screws out of the float bowl, which was a big pain, and took them to the hardware store, and told them to match them with allen head ones for me. I left, then picked them up later. When I put them in, I think they got the thread size a little too small, and I think I stripped the threads on the carb.

So does anyone know where I could find a clean used stock BSR42mm carb, for very little, or better yet, a TM45mm carb. Please Pm me if you know where to get one.

Done.

I have both. Stock is a thumb throttle. 45 is a twist.

Yeah, I'd rather have a thumb throttle, sorry Josh. Is there a way to turn a twist carb into a thumb throttle carb? Anyone know?

Don't replace the carb just because of some stripped threads - retap the holes the next size up. They are metric, but you can probably go with an inch screw that is only slightly larger than the original metric, without taking a whole step up in metric size.
The hardware store probably gave you inch screws instead of metric. Hopefully, you only stripped one and stopped there.
