Hey Angry... I has a simular problem. I think it's a total of 15 clicks. What I did was to turn full CW and count to full CCW and adjusted from there. What I found on my DS is that there was only 40psi nitrogen service charge. I called Bombardier and found it was supposed to be 300 psi. None of my local dealers could service to 300psi nitrogen. I made an adapter for a 34liter 99.99% nitrogen bottle and charged it to 300psi. I havent had any problems since and it made a world of differance. I also checked Sandsurfers shock and his was at 200psi. We charged his and it made a big differance too.

Hope this helps.....

Interesting, How do you check the PSI? Can most good shops charge the shock for you?

Yeah! good question, how do you do it? I think mine probably has enough charge in it, it just comes down like a ton of bricks. I mean it is hard to compress so I think I just need to turn it down.

I used an 18" hose with a HI-PRESSURE industrial shrader valve fitting on one end and a calibrated 400psi gauge w/ a ball valve on the other. Keep the ball valve closed, screw on the schrader fitting and open the schrader valve, Take a reading. Mine was way low, so I screwed on a bottle of 99.99% nitrogen, opened the ball valve until I had 310psi (10psi for line loss). Closed the schrader valve, then the ball valve, removed the bottle and then the schrader fitting. WALA!

I coulden't find a local dealer that could go to 300 psi at the time. If you don't have access to some of the components I used, I would recomend calling a few dealers. If they can't help you check with some off-road truck or sand rail places. They should have the capability if they sell any good shocks (Fox, Sway-a-way, Elka, TCS, Works ect).
