Raptor Chain Noise

I adjusted my chain for the first time yesterday.I followed the manual instructions and the chain has about an inch or so of play.I am hearing a whinning noise as the chain goes around the sprocket ( front it sounds like). Is this normal?
This is the first time I have adjusted the chain.It seemed to be pretty loose before I did.I have about 10 hrs on my Raptor.I did not hear this prior to adjusting it.

yamaha's tension spec is too tight. Loosen it and see if the noise goes away.

If you don't you'll not only have a noise, but you'll break the chain if you take any big jumps.

Also make sure that all the weight is on it when checking the tension. I have met some people that didn't know this.
