does this machine have a problem with water!
#1
I'm looking at the speed and I was told this machine does not like water. I can't belive this. when there are races in the woods there are water crossing. I know no machine likes to be up to its neck in water but 3 foot deep is not to much to ask for. I live in norh eastern PA and water crossing are a comon accurance I'm not looking to go to the local mud hole and make a name for cammondale but would like to ride there and see the action with my friends.

fredinpa,
dont quote me on this but i asked the same question you did a couple of weeks ago. I pretty much gathered from the answeres that the 'dales arent deep water friendly because of the electronics and because it lacks a conventional airbox design. ( im not sure exactly what does it have, but ive taken from discussions here that isnt what you would think ) , knowsalot said he has no problems with the crossings in harescrambles but i dont think they are deep ( maybe 1 - 2 feet ) ????? . ,maybe someone will chime in and help ya out more than I can. A guy that I see at the river all the time bout a speed from a dealer in my town, so far it is still running aight but dont know how long it will with the water he is putting it through.

I've had my cannibal up to the back fenders several times and regularly hit 2ft creek crossings. I was worried at first, but now i don't even slow down
If there is any unusual problem with water, I haven't seen it.

I put duct tape inthe area under front fenders where they meet frame and some foam around edge of headlight covers also I put some pop rivets in the foam around the filter pan to keep it in place, duct tape from front nose to bumper or blaze no. plate ran a harescramble with about 2ft water crossings no problems not even a sputter.
