Well here it is. Put the warn 2500 winch on then added about twenty two pounds of lead shot 71/2's down the front tubes. Filled them right to the top and replaced the plastic plugs. Set the shocks up a notch and went for a test drive. Steep hill(hard packed dirt) stopped in middle then started again,not only did the front stay on the ground with me on the seat but the front wheels were actualy digging like hell. That was a first. Hill just about streight up. Next went after some creek washouts. Two foot or so high ledges. Started at angle to get front wheel started up then gunned it and instead of popping a wheely this grizz just dug in and ripped hell out the bank and up over I went setting on the seat. Hey sixteen bucks for the shot and if you don't like it take the tubes off and dump it out. It's still pretty cheep. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

never in a million years would i have ever thought of that, lol. just goes to show ya that these forums are worth there weight in gold!!! thanks for a good tip when running the hills!!!

Does the bike have more "body roll" in the corners? What about letting off the gas at high speeds? does it dive? Did it affect the ride quality across bumps/pot holes (better/worse)? Have you taken it into the mud yet?

If ya get the chance....take it in other conditions as well to let us know how the performance/handling is.

The grizz's body roll isn't too bad in stock form(modern double A arm's up front and back with sway bar) I doubt that the lead's going to make a big difference. The biggest factor for tippiness I can see on the grizz is that nice 35 pound gas tank mounted nice and high. It'd be sweet to use some of the grizzes frame spce for lower tanks.

 

i'm guessing that the lead will lower the center of gravity and improve most of the handling if suspension isn't relatively too soft in comparison to the increased weight....wouldn't want to roll her and have her land on me though!!
