Damn man, that sucks. Screw those guys, it's just people like that, that hold quad racing back. Move up here in East Texas... we got plenty of good tracks to ride at. The owner of Badlands said he likes us quad riders more and that the dirtbike riders bitch so much that he just wishes he could make it a all quad track. Unfotunately, he couldn't afford to lose the dirtbike riders business, but you can just tell that he like quads more. He is always walkin down the side of the track and cheering people on and really getting into it... also the head of the TQRA. Sorry to hear about not being able to ride at that track anymore. Tell the bike riders that you will personally groom the track before everyone of their races and even spread rose pedals on the track. Tell them that you will even lay some pillows down on the track so they don't hurt their sensitive selves. You can tell which guys are REAL racers cause they won't complain. To the other little girls (no offence to the ladies), the track has to be perfect and everything has to be groomed just right or they won't be able to ride fast... sorry bike riders but if you're reading this, you gotta be able to ride through anything and complaining about "dirt displacement" or what ever in the hell you little girls are crying about, is just a bunch of pu$$y ****. Go get a manicure, and take a mud bath to feel better about yourself... Don't forget to stop by Victoria Secret and pick up something nice for yourself and you'll forget all about that nasty track.

Sorry, I always seem to get p!ssed off when I hear about that stuff. Thats one of the VERY FEW things that can make me mad.

Having watched a couple of motocross races it appears that the bikes actually tear up the track alot more than quads. Look at any turn that bikes use, there will be very deep ruts from them. Look anywhere on the track and you will see lots of ruts from the spinning narrow tire.

What possible arguement can the bikes be using? Our wider tires will atleast move the dirt back into the ruts they create.

That sucks though.

Gather all the quad guys and show the owners the money he is losing and maybe he'll change his mind. The other option is open your own. I'm sure that there is someone with about 20 acres that could let you use it. You will need to have some form of insurance and safety requirements. Start a club and only allow club memebers to ride yearly fee with a daily use fee. Race fee. Soda machine lots of ways to make money.

I'd open my own, but in Ca. land is not 2,000 an acre.

That's funny....in the Mid-South Series, we (quads) run after the bikes to help repair the trails. There are always huge ruts left by the bikes and by the time the quads go through, the ruts are usually filled in. It can't be that much different in MX.

Well, see, the problem is they like the ruts in the corners cause the bikes can rail the corners a lot better with them. They say we ruin those but thats just Bullsh!t... Those are the guys that think they know it all but don't know crap about quads. Quads try to avoid those ruts cause we like to swing are *** end around the hairpin corners, and on the 90 degree turns we just go inside of them.

Bikes and quads have two completely different styles when it comes to racing. What works for a bike, usually doesn't work for a quad, and yes, bikes tear up tracks MUCH more than quads, but don't try tellin them that. Either we are the ones making the little 3 inch wide ruts in the face of jumps, or we are the ones making the big *** hole in the landing of the jumps. I mean, they are our obviously fault, even if the quads haven't raced yet.

One guy in thumpertalk actually tried telling me that our 2 10 inch wide tires on our less powerful quads will dig deeper ruts than the 1 3 inch wide tire on the back of the more powerful bikes. Think of it this way... throwing a knife in the ground will go a lot deeper than throwing a hammer on the ground. Likewise, a narrow tire will dig a deeper rut than 2 wide tires.

Hey Special get on over here to new iberia and to breaux bridge . quads are welcome anytime , they have refaced the jumps and added a few tripples to the front straight where it used to be just a speedway . and new iberia open all the time {except mondays } they get out and rake the track several times a day when we are riding !

I'm waiting on some return emails from the ATVA and the track owners. When I get all the info I will let you know what we can do.

yodaddy is correct in how he is putting the differences in ruts and style, I road bikes for 30 years but never wined the way they do around here.

Yodaddy I missed aledo due to heavy storms in houston, we opted to just drive home instead of drive threw it.

We were looking for you saterday night special. We raced gonzalles, 7 quads, was a graet race I took third, ran out of energy might have done better. Now that I can't practice that much due to la supercross banning quads I don't have the stamna I did a month ago. I did hold second a couple times but just out of shape couldn't hold them off.

Do you know markvette special. He rides a C-dale at holeshots mx, I'd like to get a hold of him this week too. I tried calling you a couple times, I'll try again.
