Sounds like a couple of them dirtbikers need some midol. This is bad ,we are so divided as a sport if we arent careful the enviros are gonna not only take our land off road there gonna lock up our tracks.Id ride anywhere w anything, sounds like the classic case of too much money and too many skirt wearing prima donnas.

Ok This is what I got so far. Lyann over at holeshots is starting to feel the crunch. She put a 8K payout on top of the normal money races on the 29th of june. Wich I may add she has gone on record as saying that they don't have quads in any big event, and then later saying thier was no time or place for quads at big events, I am the wrong person to let know this!!!!
Update, with the 8K payout, even no bikes showed, very low turn out. She's finding out her chit does stink!
Ok jay at LA supercross has thus far returned any emails, although he is always slow. I feel very confident that jay will let us practice with out incident, but no word yet. Jay has felt the big crunch as well, last race, barely enough to race.
High rollers in gonzalles (damn wish I knew how to spell that) Last race on 29th, about 70 bikes and 7 quads. (took 3rd if anyone cares).
Ok, bikers have been bashing high rollers and sue for months. Saying it's a old garbage facillity, broken glass on the track, run down facillities all the norm for spoiled brats. The Brouex bridge track I have been hiering very little about but intend to run two practices there hopefully next week, but may be another good quad track. Fernwood, new owners, like quads and the biker spoiled ones are already bashing them.
Doug morris of the ATVA has contacted me a few times with some ideas. 1) try to work some deals with all the tracks to have a quad only races and stop offering quad races during bike races. Says has worked graet in four series in different parts of the country.........I realy don't want to go threw with this one. Reasons, jay and lyann realy rubbed me wrong. Giving them my money isn't what I want. And the fact that they publicly bash the tracks we ride on. Maybe not because we ride on them but for what ever reason, not good bussiness.
I say lets work with the ones that are happy to see us come. The bike numbers are down rite now as usual for this time of year, so it's are time to step up and get a foot hold on things, while the money is not there.
What are we going to do. It seems fernwood and high rolers is out cast for any series this winter. Brouex bridge, well you all know them I don't. And what about new iberia, this is a bike strong hold, but they have run quads without insident for a long time.
I emailed sue a bit ago and laid things out to her. I will bet she will be game for just about anything. Infact she usually calls twice a week before races to let every one know the scoop.
Oh doug says to ask the track owners to run the money and novice classes first then quads to smooth the tracks for all the mini's. I thought that sounded pretty good and solve the problem of the mini's getting stuck in the ruts.

Hey Gaff,
Good to here from ya.There was a real good turn out for the race at Fernwood last night.Leann was there I bet she felt dumb.We had 8 quads. The owner of E-Z Ride asked her if she had a minute to talk about the quad Issue she told him no and walked away. She has a very bad attatude towords everybody even the bike riders.I dont think she
will be in busness much longer the way she is going.Personally I hope she falls on her face and gives up the track to a new, better owner.

Wow, you guys have it rough. In my area, quads are huge at the local tracks. At the track I work at we get a consistent 7 guys in the quad A class, about 5 each in 250B and 4 stroke B class and always around 10 or 15 in the quad C class. Then theres always 8 or 10 in the Blaster class and the 80-90cc class.
I really don't hear too much bickering back and forth between quad guys and bike guys. Everyone seems to get along pretty good. The crowd loves the quads too. We've had Tim Farr, Dana Creech, Dave Diver, Doug Gust, Ben Jackson, and Shane Hitt show up for the Pro Quad races.

Yaeh special, lyann rubs me wrong. But jay has not done me good at all. Exspecially all the money I have laid down over there. I would like to practice at jays track thow as we talked on the phone, it's kinda close for both of us.
I want to do fernwood thow. I also want to do brouex bridge as well. I think if we all kinda keep in contact or kinda get the poeple I race with and the poeple you race with and get a little communication going we can realy make a force by numbers by just limiting our selfs to a few tracks. I think the tracks we freaquent will be the poeple that realy stand up for us.
Once we can come in numbers and the bike guys who realy care less about this quad bike fued thing, I think we can realy open up some space for us for atleast a 3 track series this winter. Face it, fernwood and gonzallus want us and as many of us they can get. From you and others I hier brouex bridge wants us too. So why fight the others, thier numbers on race day are saying every thing.
Lets work with these tracks. I have to make some calls, but I'll call you tomorrow and try to work some thing out, what time is a good time?

markvette,
I am very interested in meeting up with you all. Although I'm a little under powered and have about 15 years on the compatition, well still in the blood.
I work 7/7 offshore so I'm limited to the 2nd and 4th weekends for the next few months, but please email me or something and we will come.
Gonzalous has quads as well, couple raptors for locals own there thow, but a couple of speeds.....ummmmmm.....yup I think it would shake them up just fine. Realy thow they have been having good turnouts.
I only seen fernwood from the road on the way to tube the bouga chitto river. We have been wanting to camp that state park and race at fernwood. Looks like we can do that soon. Let me know about the week end.
Oh yaeh, my boy races also but in the 80cc bike class, so don't bash him to hard.
