250R total rebuild estimate.......

Yesterday I went out riding in a huge @ss sand pit. It was mad fun riding and jumping there. But my R was running crappy all day..it would make good power and then it would kinda just drop off, not bog just drop off on the power. Then it would run like a top for about 2 minutes climb all the hills with ease. It was really strange.
It was about 95 plus the heat from the sand made it about 100 degrees in there, all day it was overheating too...fluid was blasting out of the overflow hose all over me
Later that day she through a chain into my case. When it was stolen it was still being broken in so it needs a new topend for sure. There some weird noises coming from the bottom end too, The bottom end has NEVER been rebuilt in my R so I am sure it well past due.
My questions are....how much is it to have a reputable (SP) engine builder redo the top and bottom end? Also I am thinking of going with the ESR 310 or 330 kit while it's all torn down OR I was thinking I need new cases anyway so why not put some ESR trenched cases in there with a stroker crank and have me a 370, Is it worth it? One last question....How much do you think I can sell my stock jug for, it doesn't even have one bore on it, just been honed one time.
Thanks, KILLER

whats the deal with the powervalved cylinders you can get for an R. My buddy is getting his done and he said it is gonna cost him like $3000. But it will put at least 70 RWHP. he said if he wanted to spend another 500 he could have 85 RWHP. How do these cylinders work. I know the suzuki 250 and 500's have powervavles stock but they are contained somewhere in the bottom end. right? I forgot who he said makes these but does anyone esle know or have any links to some more info on this. Oh and are these unreliable or what? thanks

the powervalved itself doesnt give you more hp. the powervalve controls the exhaust port timing window and smooths out the powerband, therby taking away the "hit" commonly associated with 2-strokes. the gain in horsepower is accomplished through the displacement provided by a bigbore cylinder( w/ or w/o powervalve) and porting, but not through the powervalve

so this whole new top end he is getting has a lot more in it than the powervavle? okay. thanks for the info
