hey all,
well, i got the jet kit in, the k&n filter, and the supertrapp exhaust on. you all might know by now that i snorkled my belt drive, for just those special occasions where the hipnotic mud beckons me to it, heehee.
i went out to the mounds( a place in lower michigan) to test it all out!!! first, i raced another grizzly, and yes, mine is now faster. i must have got it just right, couse she has no delay, and no problem going like a pimp when his ho isn't payint the bills!
i also modified my snorkles, thank god!!!
the hole...
it didn't look to bad, just your average 50 ft long hole, with 4 ft tall walls and dropoffs on both sides that you could loose a jeep in, heehee. well, being the logical person that i am, i slowly rolled into it at 20 mph, lol. once i got over the shock of not actually seeing the headlights anymore, it was ok. i didn't much like the boat sounds coming from my rearend, with the BRAND NEW PIPE ON IT THOUGH. well, the darn thing desited it wanted to get deeper and deeper, till my boots,( rubber to the knee) started to get alot heaver with water filling them.
have you ever looked at something and swore to yourself that it was actually getting farther away? well, the other end did!!!
it was about that time that the seat dissapeared! not to worry i told myself, i'll just back up!!! reaching through the mud and water, i finally found my shifter, and put her in reverse. all the while my brother is scrambling to get his wench out behind me.
i was going to have none of that, all this power, and titan 589 mt. sheese, i'll show him i thought!!!
i romped the throttle with all the control i could summons, just to fill my helmet with swamp water.
after the brown cleared from my goggles a little, i did it again. ( you know when everyone is looking at you and giggling?) this time, the pockets on my shirt filled with mud! he!!, i figured, third times a charm, and just nailed it!!! ( i bet your gitting the hole drown rat thing now, arent you?) yup, i now had swamp water in my nose! i am laughing so hard, i cant even consitter getting this thing out.
but the quad is still running!!! so, my brother hooked up his wench, and together we got her out.
i scrambled to check it all out, just knowing my airbox was filled to the top, but nothing!!! by belt, as dry as the crack in grandmas a$$ . now me on the other hand, i was so wet i couldn't even stand the smell of me.
and i had to drive home sitting next to me. man, i would rather have sat next to a dead skunk that sprayed itsself, and $hit all over its legs, with the maggots swimming the back stroke in its droppings, kind of smell people. my nose will never be the same. as for my grizzly, i am going to clean it, hug it, love it, and maybe, if i play my cards right, get to sleep with it, lmao!!!

Did they sound check your Supertrapp at the Mounds? Is it much louder than stock? Looking at getting a Griz and of course it needs mods.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

that is what i love the most bout this pipe. it is quiet!!!! i get all the benifits of an aftermarket exhaust, with only about 10 % increase in sound. the mounds didn't even look at me more or less test me. and i am running 11 plates. i am going down to 9 plates, couse someone told me i'll get more off the line power. that will quiet it down even more. it is not like the old supertrapp pipes, like the one on my old warrior. that was loud, this one is not. they put the plates inside, and that baffles the sound quite a bit! if you do get a new grizzly, it will open up a hole new world at the mounds!!!! all that mud to attach, and the water, yaaaaa hoooooo, lol.
