I'm working on my buddy's 96 425 Magnum, and it idle's just fine, but when you give it gas the motor looses power and starts to backfire. I put a compression gauge on it and only got 80lbs. out of it on a warm motor with the throttle wide open. So I would like to know what should I be getting out of it??? I believe a lot more than that.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

I would say you need at least 100+ to run right.Thats what I go by.

Well, I think I know what's causing it to run bad, the exhaust cam lobe is worn off. Can anyone give me an estimate on what one cost??
