I am trying to find out info on how to check or replace if needed the front right cv joint on my Grizz 660. Last time I went riding I was locked in 4x4 trying to get through a mud hole and while all 4 wheels were spinning I heard a loud clank and the front right wheel stopped turning. After cussing for a couple of min. I put the bike back in regular limited slip 4x4 and tried to come out of the hole, and it was working fine. I went ahead and locked it back in and all 4 wheels were turning again without any problems. I used the diff lock pulling the other quads out for the rest of the day witout any problems. So I dont really know what the deal is, but I am scared to ride it until I make sure that I did not do any damage to my cv joint. If there was anything broken wouldn't I know it? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Jack up the wheel in question and put it in 4 wheel lock and try to turn the wheel. It should not be able to make it turn no matter how hard you jerk it around. If it's already messed you can't hurt it to go ahead and drive it.
