I read somewhere that Yamaha will be coming out with a new sport quad possibly using a detuned version of the YZ426 motor or another similar motor. Did anyone else hear anything about this?

 

Hey I herd about the 426 engine in a quad that would be super fast . Be it may not happen .

 

I have heard that Yamaha is bumping the 426 up to a 450 on the bikes and adding a electric start and autodecopmresion.

 

Yeah, on their WR450 and 250, they will have electric start and a decompression lever on the bars. This should make for much easier starting. the WR motor would be sweet in a quad. the electric start would get rid of any starting drills. just hit the button and go. I hope Yamaha puts this motor in a quad.
