Tire Rims and Mud
#4
I have been doing wheel/tire research on my own as well. I have a 97 400 Scrammy 4x4 which is the same tire size as the 500. I found out that you can upgrade to a big foot kit (only place I have found is Dennis Kirk). But there are troubles. You will have to go to a skinnier wheel as well to get the height. You will lose a lot of power I am told from the weight of the tires. I am just going to buy some aluminum .190 ITP's, the same size as factory, and I am going to buy GBC Gators for front and rear. Rear size tires will be same size as factory (22X11-10), and front will be one size wider (23X8-10) instead of the factory 23X7-10 shipped to my door for $469. I don't think that is too bad of a price. I am getting them from 4atvtires.com Let me know what you end up doing. Hope this helps. Whatever you do, be sure to stay one size taller in the front for your gears,
