What is the procedure for advancing the timing? I already have the Woods CDI for the +5 but I would like to go more.

Hopefully, if MSD produces an ignition it will have an adjustable ignition feature. To vary it mechanically would be difficult, unless someone designs an adjustment into the trigger. I think there is a key that you can buy that will add a certain amount of timing, but its not a variable adjustment.

Huyrcne, How do we know for sure that the Ron Woods box advance timimg? Is that what Ron Woods says or do they have anything on paper? It seems just a couple of months ago no-one knew for sure, And now it is known that it advances timing 5 degree's. I was just wondering if I missed something.

This is something that I taled to Elliot about but I may be wrong. Are you talking about the degree key from RWR Rocky? Elliot told me not to buy one because it will just strip out and break.

The RW CDI and the PAMI CDI were said to offer advanced timing according to Knutz I believe, if I remember correctly. I believe it, because as soon as I put it on and took off for the first time I felt small but definite gain throughout the entire rev, from bottom to top. A lot of the guys that put one on at the same time as other mods would not have noticed, and attributed the gain to something else, but its there. Further confirmation is given by the ability to rev higher in fifth gear.

I installed my RWR CDI last night and I can tell a difference just by tapping on the throtle a little. I'm waiting on my jet kit before I can take it out but I was really impressed just revving it up stationary.
