I need a set of sand tires for my Banshee and am curious what others are running and where a good place would be to purchase these.

I really like the Sand Skat 2s on my Warriors, they are low profile on like 10" wide X 10" diameter wheels. I just checked with my local shop, and they can get the same setup, except with Skat Trak "The Edge" tires for like $300 a pair (that seems steep). I really like the chevron paddle design for turning, but would love to hear anyone elses opinion on tires, and where I can get a better deal.

Thanks,
Dean

Well, I think everyone has their opinion, but I much prefer the skat trak hauler.

I have the skate II on my raptor and dont really care for them. I much prefer the hauler. I dont find I have a prob with turning, just have to use some body english.

I am looking at buying some this week. I am debating 20's or 22's. I really dont want to regear at this point. I think 8 or 9 paddles are best unless your bike is modded to the hilt. then a 10 or maybe even 12 would work for you.

You need to check out rocky mountain they have the best prices I think.

$300 is way too much, unless they are billet wheels or something.

I am interested, give me an idea how much you want for them, and what kind of shape they are in. Shoot me an email at dean@vdubn.com with the details.

Thanks,
Dean

I have decided I am going to get the 20-10-10 9paddle hauler extreme.

If I think I need a taller tire, then I will put those on my ds. I have the same size on my ds now, but the 8 paddle and not extremes and I have a couple of paddles that are starting to break off.

I will be ordering them probably tommorow.

I thought about the straight paddles, but everyone I have spoken to said that they are terrible if you like to scale around the sides of bowls, etc. For Drag racing they are great, but not so good if you plan to do much turning, etc. Any thoughts?

I love to hit the bowls on my ds, It does fine with the sidehilling as long as I keep in the throttle.

I would guess it will be the same with the banshee. Of course, it is hard to sidehill if not in the throttle, so that is a mute point.

I dont have any trouble riding all kinds of conditions with the straights.

Also, my buddy has a 400ex and he has the haulers and a pair of the edges. He rode once with the edges and has never put them on again.

I would go straights, whether it be haulers or not.
