Living with the In-Laws!!!!
#1
I have been living with the In-laws for the past few Months. It started out as a good Idea while we were Looking to buy a House. The house that we were renting was sold and we were faced with either renting and paying all of the costs of reconnecting all of the utilities and also signing a 1yrs lease, when we were going to be buying a house in a "couple of weeks" anyways. So moving in with In-laws was the "Smart thing to do" my wife said. Well I reluctantly said okay, After all, I have a good relationship with them.
Well, Like I said Its been 3 MONTHS now and I am about to close on a house I probably cant afford, but I am SO ready to get the "f" out!!!!!! I am also proud to say that I have survived this, what could only be explained as the ULTIMATE marriage test with little or no confrontations with the Mother-in-Law.
I am getting more excited by the day, knowing that I can get all of my belongings, Namely my tools, work bench, Motorcycle, and DS out of storage. It has been HELL not being able to spend time with the toys and not having a RELEASE to the frustrations(there is also other things my wife will NOT do in her mother's house).
Well, This has been my first RANT on this forum, and I feel a little better already.

Dude, I totally know how you feel. Living with the in-laws sounds like a great idea. Specially all the money you save, yeah right. We spent more money renting hotel room and eating out or going out of town just to get the hell out of there. It is hell, there is nothing worse than having to live with the inlaws.
I think that I got you beat thou. Listen to this.
We sell our house, have to move in with the in-laws for 4 months till the new house is done. Just got a promotion so I'm dealing with the stress of that, wife is 5 months pregnant and she is due the day before we are scheduled to move in. I got half my things in storage, half at my moms, half at her dads, half at her moms. Talk about nightmare!!! And on top of that I've got two Rotties that are having to stay with the in-laws too.
We couldn't take it, we went and got an apartment 2 months later. The house was finished a week early so we were able to get settled before the baby came, my dogs did great at the in-laws and the job transition was easy.
Just hang in there, you'll look back and go " I can't believe that we did that, and I'm so happy now"
It'll all be worth it in the end.
