will an'02 twinair fit an'03 p650?

will an'02 twinair fit an'03 p650?..the filter is an oblong triangular type shape with 3 wing nuts to titen it down with?? anyone know whats up??the 02 filter i have doesnt look like the same shape thats in the 03...kinda sux havin to wait till november or dec for a company to make the new design..

well..ive found my answer..the 03 has a 25% larger filter surface area and changed geometry.

It looked like the box was the same even though the guts where diferent I would have thought that the other would still fit in the top like the prior years.

I would think that the 03 stock filter design would be better than the 02 aftermarket one. With it having more surface area, it should flow better.

I wonder if we could mod the 02 to use it it looks like we could we would just need the new air box lid and air cleaner braket I would think and the new angled stacks.

I don't know if the scew will screw into the box right they may need drilled and to use it.

call me blind ,but I dont c how the filter would be set into the box anyhow..its just 1 flat peice of foam..how does it get secured into the box?? I realise Im no wrench bender but I am fairly competent..the other change IS a drain on the transmission casing..according to Kawi customer service.

The lid design hold the filter into place. Have you been able to locate the drain????

Nope,still no drain..ive been up and down it.Kawi said(I think) you have to remove the cover to access it..
