check belt light on 360

my check belt light came on today. i know i have to check it but i cant afford for the saki shop to check it.they charge $40 a hour and its no telling how long it would take them. if someone could help me i would appreciate it. i just need to know how to check the tightness
of the belt and how to get the light off and any thing else i should check for.
