How about casual riding (tootling) on a c-dale?

The reason I ask is alot of my riding is with my Dad and my kids, speeds average about 5 to 10 mph or so. I really want to buy a cannondale this spring, will this type of riding harm this machine? Will it over heat? or anything? I plan on posting the news when I buy
one. Thanks alot

I had the same problem. I either ride very slow with my dad and a couple of his friends or like a madman with a couple of my friends. I bought the cannibal put an hmf exhaust and the moto map on it. I have been out with my dad and the c-dale will go slow with no problems but you will find it hard to ride it slow. It screams to be rode hard! I have not had mine long but so far I love it. My friends cant believe how fast it is.

No dude, it won't hurt it or overheat. I sometimes ride with a bunch of utility guys and my 'dale does great. Of course they usually let me lead the way. Occasionally in really slow tight trails it feels kinda funny, kinda feathery on the throttle, but no problems and I've got about 260 hours on her.

I am so excited about getting a sport quad again, my last one was a lt250r, lots of fun on that machine. I think the gray/blue cannondale is cool, its on their site. What add-ons do you guys have?

You can also change the mapping to make the slow riding easier. I got a "traction map" from Optimum and it made the throttle really smooth and easy for about the first 1/3 then it opened up. They said they made it for some guys running in alot of mud who needed less wheel spin of the line. I could lug around at idle all day with that map.

Are you sure it's a Speed? Or a Limited Edition Cannibal? That is the way they look, but I have one, and let me tell you the craftmanship of the way the decals were installed suck big time. I bet my grandma in the nursing home could have done better. Thank god the rest of the machine isn't put together that poor.
