Very very cheap way to make reverse easy on a 300ex.

All you need is a peice of tape. Tape down the little red R button and all you have to do is pull in the clutch and lift up the lever. It makes it so much easier.

If you are doing this just to make it easier to operate instead of removing the linkage to save weight try this. It will last much longer than tape and not look sh!++y either.

Just adjust the reverse lockout cable on the right side engine case. [towards the rear]. You can adjust it so that it stays engaged at all times.

When you do this, your way or the other way, be sure to be in neutral when you pull the lever up to prevent tranny damage.

my buddy makes levers for the 300ex so you can shift it in reverse with your foot so you dont have to reach down. he sells them on ebay all the time. look nice too.
