I just bought a house with a big driveway, so I want a plow for my 01 Scrambler. I think I want a Moose plow, but should I even try it considering there is no low range to run in? Does anyone have a plow on their machine, and does it work well?

I didn't even know that they made a plow for the scrambler. I'm not sure though if you would want to without a low gear. I'm guessing it will put a lot of strain on it.

I guess it would all depend on how much snow you were looking at pushing with the thing. It is, after all, a nice n' heavy machine... So let's say you get some speed going and just drop the plow, letting the momentum of the quad pretty much push the snow. That'd work if you plowed every time 2" or so fell during a storm. If not, maybe throw a 700 Belt on it and see how it goes, or re-clutch for the winter. I dunno about Wisconsin, but I'll tell you what though -- it wouldn't work in Buffalo snow! LoL. Beside, a plow would take all the fun of using your Scrammy to fly around in the snow.

-no, you'll kill it in the deep stuff.

-yes, you'll have fun doing it!

i have cycle country plow on mine and it worked great last winter i didnt even need 4 wheel drive most of the time. you dont need low range i pushed some deep snow and never slipped the belt at all. my scrambler plows snow better than my garden tractor ever could.

I wouldn't do it. The clutch face will probably start to wear grooves down low. You will be never really shifting out and the load will wear the clutch and belt. If you have a line on a clutch cheap give it a try.

My Buddy in Northern WI has had a plow for his Scrammy 400, and has used it reliably for the last few years. The plows available for it are rather small (48&quot and you have to know the limits. As long as you watch what your doing, you can easily plow with it.

I have not put one on mine yet. I think if you don`t get to agressive with the amount of snow you should be OK. Try and keep momentum up too. I find it hard to believe the belt would slip before the tires on a snow and ice covered driveway. My 2 cents.

Bad for the engine. Plenty said right there. When I bought my Scrambler I go a paper from the polaris factory that said this machine should not be operated below 7 mph for any period of time. This is due to a very high engagement. If you want to do some jacka$$ type plowing it should be fine. Scramblerized- They dont make a Scrambler Plow. But the mounts to the frame are close enough to a sportmans that fitting isnt impossible.
