My rear brake pedal when I push it down it will not snap back up. i also disconected the screw from the master cylender piston and it still does not snap back up, I have to do it by hand. I think it is the cylender (located above the brake pedal) Do I need a new one or can it be rebuilt, or maybe this is not the problem. Before I go buy a new master cylender any thoughts would be great.

Did you try spraying some type of oil in that area?

First, try spraying that area (brake pivot point) with WD 40 or something. Work it in a bit, I think this will help.

Take the brake pedal out of the frame and replace the seals around it. Then sand the rust off the pedal pivot point and put some heavy duty marine grease on it. Then reasemble it. My buddy had this same problem. If this isnt it then i have no clue..

Is the spring still attached to the brake lever?
