Which is faster an 03 400 auto or 03 500 auto?

I want to know if a 400 is faster than a 500 because i heard that they have differend geering like the 400 more for trail riding and a 500 has lower geering for work.

Same gearing, thet 500 just pulls a gear higher in most situations. They are not fast quads though, the motor just screams at about 50 mph.

Same thing, gearing is the same. The 500 should have a little bit more top end but not much, maybe 2 or 3 mph. I dragged my friends 400i manual and we were almost even.
