I am looking to get some new front rims for my c-dale and possibly a set of new front tires. I have had my quad less than a 3 months and have already bent my rims up. Also on the holesot fronts I have already had to buy two new front tires do to unrepairable holes in the sidewalls. I like agressive trail riding and was wondering what kind of tires some of you guys are running on the trails and what you would reccomend. Are the sidewalls on the holeshots just too weak or do I just need to slow down. I dont see myself slowing down so I would appreciate any suggestions. I can't afford a new tire every few weeks.

Also, what bolt pattern are the c-dales? Will a honda or suzuki bolt pattern match up?

Front and rear bolt patterns are the same as the Honda models.

I know all to well what you mean about the stock front wheels bending. I got my first ever DNF in a race due to those. I had to much pride to change them...LOL

Now I know better. I run OEM stock 400EX wheels up front and have experienced no problems at all.

If you trail ride where there are lots of rocks, you might want to look at some reinforced wheels.

The Honda bolt pattern is the same, but the Dale has a different offset. Honda offset wheels will make the front 2" narrower.

I've got Hiper beadlocks on order for mine, got the rears last week but the fronts are on backorder. I haven't made up my mind on which tires yet.

What do you guys think of the holeshot XCT's. I was thinking about going with them. The only thing is they only come in 23x7-10 up front and 22x11-9 in back. I wouldn't mind having a little more ground clearence for the trails but I was wondering if these would make me a little tipsy in the corners because of the added height. Am I right that it will only sit an inch higher? What other tires would you reccomend? I really need something that is flat resistant but still light weight.

Hey Mountainman,
It's me Carlos. We are in the Northern Panhandle of WV- about 30 minutes from Pittsburgh. We are getting ready to head your way next Thursday for the weekend at Hatfield. The 400ex and the 2 Cannibals have 20-11-9 XCR Holeshots on the back with racewheels- they do great but at times we could use a little more clearance. On the front we all run 23-7-10 XCT Holeshots with racewheels. I love them. It is the same setup the Blaze has except for the Blaze has 22's on the front.
The 2 Cannibals also have the MX holeshots that they sometimes run depending on where we are riding at. They have already switched to the 23's on the front for our riding next week at Hatfield. I will definitley PM you early next week so we can get together when we are down there. You can check out the mods on the Cannondales we are bringing down. We will have 5 Dales down there.
See ya,
Carlos

23 inch fronts felt weird to me. I could feel the extra weight in the whoops. They do steer alittle bit harder. I'd try a set before you do order them. Also, the 400ex offset in the front narrows it up 1" overall. It does aid in handling. The rear offset of the 400ex rims would narrow it up about 3 inches. It looks real goofy, and it wouldn't be too stable.

Hey Mountainman I know what you mean,

I'm still waiting for my set of Hipers to come in. You may want to check them out at

www.hiper-technology.com

Until then carry a ball peen hammer and some fix-a-flat, or maybe just go riding with 400Ex's and Scramblers. LOL
