i recently got my rancher es 4x2 at the end of nov. i have traded the stock tires for a set of stock 450 tires and wheels. it gives you 12in wheels front and rear plus about 1 inch more clearance. the wheels look more uniform. i also added 2 oversize ammo boxes to the back for storage. two smaller tool boxes on the front, they came from lowe's. found a antenna at walmart for $2, put it on the front bumper for a web catcher and it also will knock briars out of the way in tight areas. the racks are not as wide as the old 300's about 1 1/2 inches in the back and the front tapers inward on the rancher whick it dosen't on the 300. it cost you a little space. the rack has a larger open area between supports so i laid a sheet of aluminium across the back and front racks to keep small stuff from falling through. a rear view mirrior from the bike section at walmart, about $2.50 and you bolt it on the **** end of the left hand brake, works fine. now i am trying to find hand gurads, so far no one seems to make them yet or knows of they will interchange from another application. the lights seem much brighter than my 300 so it dosen't seem like much help is needed there. i sure like this machine, it seems to be put together right. anyone else done any modifications they like?
