Default Tire patch/plug

I got a really small leak in my front Baja tire. Its on the sidewall in the upper portion where the lettering is (actually right where the "G" is of "Warning". I took it to a Bomb dealer and they said they are not allowed to fix the tire only to replace it, so of course I walked out of there. I have a plug in my rear tire and its holding fine. Should I plug it my self? Take the tire off and patch from the inside? Whats the best way to fix it?

Definately patch a sidewall. A plug needs heavy rubber around it to do any good otherwise it will make the hole get bigger until its useless.
When you go to the tire shop go streight to the guy bustin the tires and offer him a sixer to patch it.

Installing a standard tire plug really isn't that hard. They sell basic kits at Wal-Mart & Target, it'll take you less than 5 minutes including time to read the instructions. The kits are usually like, $3-5.
